Smetana

Boy, the Smetana string quartet sure has a tricky viola part! My quartet is performing it in two weeks and I am really struggling with the fourth movement. I hope I can pull it off!

For a recent audition I decided to switch to the Hindemith after years of playing the Bartok concerto. I'm not sure it was such a great idea. It can take so long for a concerto to really settle- you know? It was risky making such a major repertoire change. I guess I'm better off for having taken a chance. Live and learn, that's my motto.

I just want to be the best violist I can be!
